Fractional CFO Services · NYC Metro

You don't need a $400K CFO. You need someone who reads a WIP schedule.

Strategic finance built for New York's small and mid-size contractors. Job costing, bonding capacity, cash flow, prevailing wage compliance — handled by someone who knows what an AIA G702 is without Googling.

What we do

Built for builders. Not consultants pretending to know construction.

Every service we offer addresses a real problem in contractor finance — not generic small-business advisory. We coordinate with your existing CPA, attorney, banker, and bonding agent. We don't replace them; we make them more effective.

Common questions

The questions contractors actually ask.

If you're under $1M in revenue, probably not yet — focus on a great bookkeeper and a construction-savvy CPA. Between $1M and $30M, a fractional CFO usually pays for itself within the first six months through margin recapture, bonding capacity expansion, or just preventing one bad cash decision. Above $30M, you're entering full-time CFO territory.
Your CPA looks backwards — they record what happened and file your taxes. A CFO looks forward — what's coming in cash, what bid markup makes sense, whether you can afford to take on that next job, what your surety needs to expand your bonding line. We don't replace your CPA. We work with them, and most CPAs are relieved to have a financial partner on the client side who speaks their language.
Yes. We work with QuickBooks (Desktop and Online, Contractor Edition preferred), Sage 100 Contractor, Sage Intacct Construction, Foundation, CMiC, and Procore integrations. If your setup is held together with duct tape and pivot tables, we'll fix it — that's often part of the first 90 days.
Yes — we work in person across the five boroughs, Long Island, Westchester, and northern New Jersey. The Builder tier includes quarterly on-site visits; the Executive tier includes monthly. For everything else, we work remotely with regular video calls and Slack/Teams access. Most clients land on a hybrid that fits their style.
That's what our project pricing is for. Bonding capacity packages run $9,500. Financial diagnostics are $5,500. QuickBooks/Sage cleanup runs $7,500–$15,000 depending on scope. M/WBE financial packages run $4,500–$7,500. No retainer commitment — fixed fee, defined deliverable, done.
Not directly — that's not our highest value to you. If your bookkeeping is a mess, we'll help you find a construction-experienced bookkeeper (in-house or outsourced) and we'll set up the systems they need to do their job well. Then we supervise and review.
Initial 90-day engagement, then month-to-month with 30 days' notice. We re-scope every six months together. Real construction CFO work takes time to show results — but we don't believe in trapping clients with long-term contracts. If we're not creating value, you should be free to leave.
